Lissenung Island Resort

Here is a news item that will be of interest to anyone who is thinking of visiting the Lissenung Island Resort. The item is a little old but I am sure it is still very relevant.

At the Bula Fiji Tourism Exchange 2008 (BFTE), held during the first week of June on the Coral Coast in Fiji, Lissenung Island Resort won the prestigious Air Pacific Tabua Marketing Award for best promo DVD! BFTE is an annual tourism trade show attended by wholesalers from all over the world who come to talk to tourism operators from the South Pacific, finding out what's new. Over 600 delegates attended the event this year, which is a great turn-out.

This year's PNG delegation included 13 operators from various sectors of the tourism industry, such as bird watching, trekking and diving. Taking up 6 small booths to make one big one for all operators, our booth scored second prize in the Best Booth Competition, for the second year running. They say its third time lucky, so we just have to win next year! The PNG Tourism Promotion Authority also got awarded for all their efforts by taking out the first prize for Best Internet Website in the National Tourism Office category.
